Nigeria-Driven And “Biafra-Restoration”-Driven Killings In Igboland: Options Before The Igbo
Tony Nnadi, 23 December 2022
Amidst angry debates in an Igbo Diaspora platform about who and who are behind the gory killings raging across Igboland, Tony Nnadi of LNC-NINAS wrote as follows:
We may choose to argue with the signboard, it does not change anything.
There are two great evils here.
The first evil is that the Fulani are on an ethnic cleansing invasion against the indigenous peoples of Nigeria including the Igbo; killing, maiming, plundering and planting their own Kind in places they overrun even as the Government and Military of Nigeria look the other way and actually collude.
The second evil is that at a time concerted and coordinated efforts were being made to, INCAPACITATE, ISOLATE and EXPEL the murderous Fulani from the failed Lugardian experiment we call “Nigeria”, whilst simultaneously retrieving the Sovereignties detained by that experiment, clear-minded criminals from Igboland, chose to launch an ill-defined “Biafra Restoration” campaign, founded on falsehood, deceit, propaganda and later violence, which began with the killing of Igbo people in Igboland in the vainglorious quest to establish turf-supremacy, ruining in the process, Alliances painstakingly built across the old Eastern and Midwestern Regions by the LNC as well as the wider NINAS Alliance with both the Yoruba and Middle-Belt.
The outcome of the recklessness of the proprietors of the totally meaningless “Biafra Restoration” gambit opened the gateway to the Caliphate, masquerading as “Federal Government of Nigeria” and “Armed Forces of Nigeria”, to move in and start killing our people on the streets and communities of Igboland.
This was compounded by the 2020 introduction of the ill-conceived ESN which quickly degenerated to Unknown Gunmen (UGM) which unfortunately opened up a greater opportunity for the same Caliphate enemy to expand its operations in Igboland under the unlimited codename of “Unknown Gunmen” and so Igboland became the killing-field for both IPOB-ESN’s Unknown Gunmen and Nigerian Security Services-Fulani Invaders Unknown Gunmen.
In all, Igboland is soaked with blood, and the casualties are Igbo people.
If anyone had called out or meaningfully challenged the FG-sanctioned and FG-facilitated killings by Fulani in Igboland and elsewhere across Nigeria, it was Tony Nnadi, on behalf the LNC and its NINAS Alliance, which not only took the matters to decision-making places in the US, particularly Washington DC and New York, but got concrete results in which the Fulani and the Buhari-led Nigerian Government got designated, sanctioned and restrained substantially from what they set out to do against the indigenous peoples of Nigeria.
If there was any meaningful pushback against the Fulani murderous onslaught within Nigeria, it was the Alliance of the rest of Nigeria which NINAS emplaced.
If there was an impediment or curb to the excesses of the illicit Federal Government of Nigeria regarding these killings, it was the relentless challenge to, and onslaught against the fraudulent Constitutional Basis of Nigeria (1999), such that the debate about whether or not we still have a Nigerian Union with the invading Fulani, has now taken the center-stage. That is the crux of the whole confused debate about “RESTRUCTURING”.
Bottom line is:
There is the Fulani-driven part to the killings going on in Igboland which extends to all parts of Nigeria.
There is also the IPOB/ESN/UGM-driven part of the killings in Igboland which has provided further cover for the Fulani killing in Igboland, official (Military) and unofficial (killer herdsmen).
Igbo must figure out its viable options in this twin tragedy.
Suggestions for remediation must take their bearings from Igbo acknowledging the truth about what is going on in Igboland as admonished by the saying: “Eziokwu bu ndu” (Truth is life).
Self-deceit on this subject is certainly no option because the corollary to ‘Eziokwu bu ndu’ must be ‘Asi bu onwu’ (Lying is death).
Here is one suggestion on the subject from the fold of Umuada Igbo:
